A downloadable game

This is an endless runner inspired by Google's Dinosaur Game. This game was made for the Universidad Católica de Uruguay, under the subject "Challenge II", using Unity 2D Engine. The project was developed in two of the three weeks that the subject ran for.

The SPIN is in that the game can be played using a camera to control the movements of the character (jump and crouch).

My role in the project was as Unity Project Manager. As such, I was in charge of leading a team of other students, managing and organizing tasks, as well as coding and developing in Unity.

Install instructions

1. Unzip the "UCU Runner" file

2. Run "UCU Runner.exe"

3. Before hitting "Jugar" to play, if you want to try to play using a camera connected to the device, Run the "main.py" file (you may have to download some python libraries)

3.1. Position the camera/webcam at about chest level and around 1.5 meters away from you, so that your whole body can be seen. These measurements may vary and you may have to move the camera or yourself so as to position at the right position.

3.2. The "main.py" is the camera calibrator. Once you run it, follow the instructions so as to position yourself at the "Centro Ideal" (atrás" = backwards / "adelante" = forwards). Once there, and when you can see yourself, try jumping and crouching ("Salto detectado" = jump detected / "Persona Agachada" = person is crouched)
